Knox's surgery

Here Knox is Pre surgery.  He was freaking out, he was begging to go home.  I am assuming that the memory of tubes was still fresh in his mind.  The nurse came in and gave him a medicine that is part of the Valium family and in about 5 minutes the tears had subsided and a new relaxed Knox had appeared.  When the Dr. came in I voiced my concerns over the tonsil removal and together we decided not to do them today.  And hopefully we won't have to do them ever.  He doesn't have tonsillitis, or anything else wrong with the tonsils except for their gigantic size.  After the surgery Dr. Beus came in and said that his adenoids were huge and were blocking pretty much everything in his sinus passage to his throat.  So even with the swelling that will occur over the next couple of days he is still much better off than he was with the adenoids in.  Anyway- there was our run down.  Here are some pics from this morning.

Knox pitching a fit before the surgery

So sad, he was terrified....
Ahhhh.....drugs
Yeah and happy again thanks to the drugs

Poor Knox, I am glad he is doing better. The video made Greg sad. He remembers our kids getting that drug, it is so weird and freaky to see your kids have to go through things like that. I hope he recovers quickly!
