A Day at the Zoo!!

Alright, so I was watching TV the other night and they had a segment on the News about free family activities in Utah. One of them was about Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake, and how during the winter the last Wednesday of every month is free. So we went to Hogle Zoo yesterday. It was a lot of fun for Presley. She was so excited. She woke up early and put on her "Ballerina soup" , the usual, and while we were eating breakfast she proceeded to tell me that she couldn't wear her "Ballerina soup" to the zoo because it would scare the monkeys, and it would scare the bears, and it would scare the tigers...and so on and so on...you get the point and that went on for about 5 minutes while she named all of the types of zoo animals that she could think of. And because it was free, you should have seen all of the strollers and kids....holy crap welcome to Utah and a bazillion kiddos. It was a mad house, kids running everywhere !!! I was a little bugged by the lack of supervision, the kids were into everything and super rude around the little ones, well probably not trying to be rude just super excited about the zoo. So despite all the fun we had and the fact that it was free, i think we will opt to pay to go when it is not so chaotic.


So now it is warming up, by that I mean in the low 50's, but nice enough to play outside. I have met a ton of moms and kids in the last 2 days. Presley has been loving it and Knox too, but when I put him down he shovels whatever he touches into his mouth..rocks,sticks,leaves...deer poop, well not really deer poop but those dang raisinette things are everywhere !! Anyway- here are some pics from our day out yesterday.

Quick story about the Giraffe's...The one right behind Presley is a young male and the one in the left of the pic is a mom and her baby is in there too. So the female on the left decides to pee and the male decided to take a drink, it was so gross to see, but then the male curled up his lips and was showing his teeth so grossed out by what he just tasted, it was hilarious.

A night out !!

Finally !! So Bry and I went out on a date. Thanks to Lauren for keeping our bumbles. We had gone to the gym earlier in the day on friday and I saw a little post about a Peter Breinholt concert for later that night. I asked Bry if he was interested and he was so we made last minute plans for a babysitter and headed out. It was so fun. We both like folky music and story telling and that was what it was in a very small intimate setting. Bry and I sat front row center, and it was so relaxed and he kept the audience involved. So ya- we really enjoyed some time for us, and really appreciate Lauren and Brian for keeping our kids.

Something New ...

Finally a new post. I am sure you all enjoyed learning a little more about Bryan but 2 weeks is a bit long. We really haven't had anything exciting going on though. Nothing new, no changes, just

same ole stuff going here in the fallowfield household.

Presley is fast approaching 3 and keeps us very entertained.

We went for a walk up the the temple the other day and she wanted to go in. I tried to explain that she has to be older and be good to go. So ya- to a 3 year old I made no sense. So she started crying and said that she wanted to see Jesus in his house, so I told her again that we can't go in and she started screaming "Jesus, Jesus" wanting him to come out and see her or at least so she could see him. Luckily we were still outside of the temple gates and she wasn't disturbing anyone but a few people who were walking to the temple. I was so embarrassed. But how do you explain that? So I just told her that Jesus was with his Daddy at his house today so he wouldn't be inside anyway and that sufficed her need to visit with him. It is funny though that she is on this kick where she talks about him all the time and he is involved with everything she does. We went to the post office the other day and there was a postal worker (with long hair) standing outside and she asked if that was Jesus. Craziness !! She cracks me up, but my friend Liz said her 3 year old is going through the same thing. So that is where we are with Presley. Knox is a 19 lb ball of energy, who will climb, crawl and scoot his way into anything and everything. He was up for 10 minutes yesterday and we already had 2 big red marks on his forehead from bumping into something. He is getting fast too. He loves to play with anything that is Presley's and everything goes into his mouth ! We have gone away from baby food and he is just on finger foods right now. He loves feeding himself. He claps when he is excited or sees that he is going to get a bottle or a snack.

Bryan is busy with school. He has been having a couple of tests a week for the past 3 weeks, and no sign of it slowing up anytime soon. So needless to say he is studying alot. Me...I am doing pitching lessons twice a week and making good money. The babies and I go to the gym in the morning to workout and training for the half marathon in April is going well. Ummmm...ya- that is all that I can think of to update everyone on. Hope all is well.

Who long did you date? Date...haha- we didn't , you guys know the story. We dated about 15 hours !! When you know, you know !!!

Who eats more sweets? Bry is def the sweet tooth in this household, I do hold my own though when it comes to sweets, but he is a chocolate monster !!

Who said I love you first? This is funny, well I actually did in a letter to him while he was on his mission, that I had decided not to send, but my roommate did. And he so politely wrote back, thanks, but I am not in the position to dwell on that kind of stuff, not word for word but just about like that, ripped my heart out :(.

Who is taller? Bryan on a good day if Im not wearing heels !! he is 5' 10" and I am 5' 8"

Who can sing better? Neither of us have been blessed with a singing voice, but Bry can carry a tune.

Who is smarter? Def Bry ! I try to keep up, but he is so dang smart and loves to learn. He always has his nose in some sort of book about who knows what.

Who does the laundry? We both do the laundry. I am usually the designated folder though.

Who pays the bills? Bryan he is much more detail oriented than me- thank goodness, I forget about everything. He is always on the ball.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Depends on the night...especially if it was wild and crazy...haha just kidding, but I like to be furthest from the door, so whatever side that ends up being.

Who mows the lawn? We both did when we had our house, Bry more than me, but I love mowing!!

Who cooks dinner? It used to always be Bry but now that I am a domestic Goddess I do- I have settled into the role of a stay at home mom and have started to enjoy creating meals for my fam.

Who drives? Both of us, me more than him right now because I am with the bumbles all day driving here and there and he walks to and from school, so he has gone days without being in the car.

Who is more stubborn? This is a toss up- But I would say me, so stubborn !

Who kissed who first? He kissed me at Hamilton Gardens in New Zealand- and this is so cheesey, but it was crazy- weak knees and everything ! It was awesome.

Who asked who out first? I kind of invited myself down to visit him in New Zealand so I guess that would mean I asked him out first !

Who proposed? Bryan of course ! We had spent the whole 1st day I was down in New Zealand having fun and sight seeing, we went to see the Temple christmas lights, then we went up to a mountain to see the lights from up there but it was foggy. So down the mountain we went. We were driving and it was quiet and I asked him "what are you thinking" he said "nothing" and I said "no, what are you thinking" and he says "will you marry me?" Holy Crap !! I about fell out and I just sat there for about 5 minutes and then said "are you serious?" then sat there silent for another 5 minutes before asking again "are you serious?". All that time thinking what in the world ?! Do I know this guy ? I have to finish school ! My family is going to kill me ! Then I thought what the heck, and he pulled over I said yes and he slipped a sweet little ring on my finger, I cried and he was sweating bullets cause it took me 15 minutes to say yes.

Who has more siblings? Bryan has 3 brothers and 3 half sisters and I have 4 siblings.

Who wears the pants? We take turns, it depends on the situation, but like Lauren said Cannon, Presley thinks that she can have her turn being the boss and has even told Bryan "Im the boss of you".

I love my sweet husband and the past 6 and 1/2 years have been the best of my life. Everyday is an adventure and we have ton of fun together. Last night we were playing with Blueberries (tossing them in the air catching them in our mouths) and we were cracking up !! I threw one up and he totally biffed it, so I was bent over laughing and Bry kicked me in the butt and I fell forward and busted my head on the counter (spousel abuse right?) but we were dying...so ya just thought I would share that tid Bit.
