Camping and Utah fun

So I am blogging on the run and will add picture when I get home. So Bry and I thought that we would try camping with our babies. We haven't been camping since May 2004 in the Grand Canyon, so we thought it was time to get back outdoors. Let me tell you - NEVER go camping in a small tent with a 1 year old and a 3 year old !! It was beautiful where we went and the kids were super excited. Knox has never slept with us, he has always been a crib baby, so he didn't know what to do with everyone laying around at night time. He kept throwing himself around playing and trying to decide if he should sleep, and asking everyone for a "bive"- high five.( Oh and I should mention we forgot his bottle for him to have water so he would sleep). In the process he was head butting everyone. Presley would almost be asleep and Knox would jump on her. So then she decided at about 11pm that she didn't want to sleep in the tent, she wanted to sleep in the car. Bryan moved all the stuff out of the back (car seats, snacks, clothes...etc and put our blankets in the car. We have a small SUV so we weren't too crammed until Presley decided to sleep horizontal and fight in her sleep, she was literally throwing punches, crying, peed through her diaper, and continuously woke her brother...ya- fun times. I kept waiting for the sun to come up, it was the longest stinking night. We were all up by 6:50 and packed up and leaving the camp site by 7:52 am. Presley still thinks she had a blast camping, she got to hear an owl and there were some free range cattle on the mountain. She sang songs the whole way home. We got home Knox slept for about 3 hours, I slept for 45 mins and Presley and Bry were troopers and cleaned the car out. Then by noon we went to a historical military fort out in the desert and it was really lame, not much out there, but a pretty drive. Today has been a super long day and I am headed out the door for pitching lessons. We didn't take pics from our campsite :( we were just ready to get home, maybe next time. But here are some from our way down the mountain and from our time at Camp Floyd today.

A scenic view on our way down the mountain...And then a family of Turkeys taking their time crossing the road

On to Camp Floyd out west of Lehi...

Earlier on the day we went camping, we had gone to Thanksgiving point to the dinosaur museum.

Knox was scared of this Shark- he was clinging to his daddy :) And since tuesday he has been walking around with his hands out like claws and saying "roar roar" like he is a dinosaur :)

The Stage cont...

So Bryan finished the stage and we took it down in the quad today and let all of the kids perform.  It was so fun to watch all of the little ones sing songs that they made up...So here are a couple of videos. Enjoy !  Oh and please notice the bow at the end of her performance :)

A stage and a sting...

Today was absolutely beautiful so we spent most of the day outside. Bryan finished his summer semester yesterday, so we are all excited for the next few weeks he has off. He started his break off by taking our super grumpy 3 year old on a daddy daughter date to buy the materials needed to make her a stage that she can sing and dance on. While they were gone Knox and I were outside and while walking across the quad I had a yellow jacket get between my flip flop and my toe and I got stung right at the base of my middle toe by the ball of my foot. OUCH !! Holy crap it hurt so bad !! Actually it still hurts, and it has been a reminder for me to be empathetic when it happens to one of my babies, I had forgotten how bad a sting hurts. So then Bry and and Pnut got home and her started working on her stage so here it is almost finished, we have so final touches to finish but the base is done. So here is a pic of her new stage. Oh ya- and I have just enrolled her in a creative dance class at BYU that will go from Sept-May, she is going to love it ! Okay so in this first pic you can see that she is a little excited !! Haha- she can't wait to dress up like sleeping beauty or snow white and be on her stage...Im working on the costumes :)
And just for fun I thought that I would post a pic of my 2 babes at 15 months...

Poop bath !

So tonight my kids were absolutely filthy and I thought that they deserved a good bubble bath. I don't usually give them bubble baths because I try to keep bath time short. But today they had been playing hard outside and I thought they would have fun with the bubbles. I put a lot in there so the bubble would be really high and then plopped the kiddos in the tub. Bathtime went fine, I dried them off, lotioned them, brushed teeth, pajamas, read books, said prayers and goodnight....6:45 ! Yes, done for the day...until I went back into the bathroom and what was there awaiting my arrival ??? A nasty poop amongst the left over bubbles !! Yes and not just a little poop!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I had bathed my kids in poop hidden by all the bubbles. And today in the quad we were just talking about bath pooping babies and I HAD to chime in and say that Knox had NEVER done that, well I think he heard the convo and thought it sounded like fun...So here are some pics of them in the bubble bath with a poop lurking under there somewhere.... This pic was him probably doing it, he does look guilty, little stinker !

And here is my sweet Presley happy to be bathing in poop :)
