Presley's 1st Day of School...

I cannot believe that my sweet baby girl is old enough to start school !! Pre-K last year broke us in a little and I got teary eyed dropping her off for her first day of Pre-K. Today I didn't get teary just had a knot in my stomach and feeling anxious for her. She was so cute and so excited this morning. She was ready to go. She chose her clothes last night, a yellow polo shirt and a navy skirt. I had bought some ribbon the other day to make some ruffle socks and a matching hairbow for her, so I made those last night to go with her outfit. She is so precious. We sure do love our Presley. Knox is a little confused this morning as to where his sister has gone and since she is at school has asked to go to his "soccer game". Meaning he wants us to go ahead and sign him up for soccer. I will do another post soon of how her 1st phase in day of kindergarten has gone. She won't have school again until next thursday which will then be a full day. Today is only until noon. So here she is..

Maryn Jane...

I haven't taken many bath pics of this sweet baby girl who loves the water. So I took a few the other night and here is a video of her walking. The video is from last week. I should do a new one this week to show how quick she has gotten. She can change directions and run without falling.

Maryn is walking !

On monday July 25th Maryn took a step. I even questioned myself if it really was a step until I saw her do it again later in the day. It was just a tiny little step with her right foot. On tuesday it was the same thing, one here, one there, and just a lot of standing. By friday she was taking 5 steps and dancing before she fell. Today saturday July 3oth, Maryn is walking across the floor :) So funny how fast she started walking :) We sure do love this baby :)

Dog Days of Summer...

So I am quickly running out of creative ways to keep my kids busy and entertained. The weather has been super hot the last 2 weeks and we have pretty much worn out the pool, gym, zoo, and aquarium for the summer. Last week I was bored so I just picked up and drove to Florida to see my sister. I mean I must have been really bored because who just decides to pack up 3 kids and go on a 8 hour car ride ? It went great though, my kids are super travelers. I only stopped once for lunch and gas. We went swimming at her pool and to the beach. We bought Presley's backpack too while we were down there. So needless to say we are ready for school to start for Presley. Knox, Maryn and I will be busy working out a new schedule for them during the day, but I think I can find a fun class for Knox to do. Bryan has been working crazy hours for this collision place driving a rollback. It's a job and we are grateful. We are just a little disappointed that he hasn't found a great job with his degree. So it looks like we will be back in school in the Fall to try and wait out the recession just a little longer. We will see, but I really want him to be able to do something that he loves. I have been busy trying to get pitching lessons off the ground. I have 4 people that I see on a weekly basis. It has been harder than I thought getting my name back out there to get things started. Hope everyone is doing well. I will post pics of the trip when I load them.

Presley's New Hair

So I know this has been a much anticipated post. It has taken a while to post because we haven't been too happy with the way things turned out with the wig. It took 6 1/2 hours to make the wig for Pres. She was such a patient girl. Her hairstylist hastily cut the bangs so Pres could see before she finished the wig and it ruined the whole hair piece. A normal wig is made out of about 1 1/2 wefts of hair and to make Presley's she used 4 ( by using so many she made it seamless, you can run your hand down the back of her head you can't feel a thing and you can part it and not see the seams )!! So it was soooooooooo thick and she started the bangs that she cut at the top of her head...UGH ! So needless to say we are very dissappointed, but Pres is so happy. She was so cute with just the first wefts being glued on she was stroking the hair. She has loved tossing it around. So we took her back in on friday and got it thinned again and cut by a different stylist. She tried to fix it, but the bangs overwhelm her little face. We still prefer her with short hair. Anyway- here are the pics :)

HAPPY 4th of JULY !

We always have fun on the 4th of July :) ! We are in a different state this year with the kids and we still found a great venue for fireworks and music. We went our good friends Brad and Shelly to a park down on the river. We ate hotdogs and had soda to kick off our American evening. Knox is still afraid of fireworks, not like a kicking and screaming scared but a cover his ears and face and he was good. he didn't even want to look at them. Pres and Maryn enjoyed them though and the weather was unbelievable for a summer evening in Tennessee. Hope you all are doing well and that you all had a wonderful 4th.

Maryn is 10 months :)

Maryn is 10 months old :) ! She is such a sweet baby. She can say "momma, dada, and hi". She can clap her hands, fold her arms, and wave. She is a crawlin professional and has started standing on her own and cruising all of the furniture. She loves to poke her tongue out and blow raspberries. She def has the attitude of being the baby in the family. Her sister loves to cater to her every need. She still only has the 2 bottom teeth and loves to scrunch her nose when she smiles. We sure do love this bumble bee.
