Rain...

The kids had the opportunity to experience a good ole southern thunderstorm last week. It rained so hard for about 20 minutes it flooded in the front of my moms yard. After the lightning had passed we sent them out to do what I used to do in the huge puddles...they loved it :)

Love his pose with the backward underwear :)

Love their cousins...
Some thumbs up :)

The pool...

My moms neighbors have a pool. They have been kind enough to tell us to come swim whenever we want. So on Monday we decided to go up for an hour and swim. I hadn't bought the kids floaties or floats yet, just wanted to see how they liked the idea of swimming. Maryn was home asleep so it was just Presley, Knox and I. They both did great. They clung to me super tight. I sat them both on the ladder and told them to stay there while I got this gigantic wasp out of the water. So I went about 10 feet from them scooped the wasp up on a pool brush and placed it on the side of the pool. While I was looking at it and deciding to squish it with the brush Presley yells "mommy, mommy Knox jumped in". I turn to see just a foot in front of the stairs two little hands frantically waving above the water. He was completely submerged and only from his wrists up were above the water. I swam over and pulled out my screaming Knox. He was terrified and luckily held his breath under the water. He was super shaken up and kept telling me "That I don't like to die". He was only under maybe 7 seconds. It happened so quick and the time it took for me to get to him felt like forever. It really made me think about how quickly we can lose them. That in every instance of drowning accidents you always hear how quickly it happened. He wanted to swim and so he just jumped in. He is now much more cautious, we got life jackets and floaties. We sure do love this sweet boy. While putting him to sleep last night ( which we never do but he wanted to snuggle) he closed his eyes and stroked my face until he fell asleep. So sweet, it is going to make it hard when he gets big and is a big butt head :)
